Built as the Coburg in 1897 and renamed The Connaught in 1917, the hotel on Carlos Place is red brick and stone in a free Jacobean-Renaissance style. Guy Oliver led its 2007 restoration. David Collins designed the bar, finished in platinum silver leaf and inspired by 1920s Cubism, and Hélène Darroze holds three Michelin stars.
